We’ve just had a fab weekend exhibiting at The Contemporary Craft Festival in Bovey Tracey where we caught up with old pals, met new customers and even managed a little yarnbomb or two over the course of the weekend.
Stand looking good and yarn bombing the Dartmoor National Park Otter!
Like any outdoor event, we were at the mercy of the elements – summer, eh?! Rain didn’t stop play, we spotted a leek at one point, but we sorted it 😉 With wellies and a flask we were ready to roll!
From otter to Potter!! (The Leeky Cauldron…)
The Contemporary Craft Festival offers a brilliant balance of talented artists showcasing their wares alongside family festival fun. There was plenty of great food, live music and interesting demos, it really was a fantastic weekend.
The sun even put in an appearance and the dampness didn’t seem to put anyone off. Although it might well have accounted for the number of pirates and the mermaid we saw kicking around… 😉
Piracy!

We wanted to say a huge thank you to all those involved in putting on such a great event – from the parking stewards to the security staff!
Next stop on the twool campaign trail? Game Fair at Hatfield House!!! WOOO!!!! That’s exciting isn’t it? New for us, see you there?
You can keep up to date with all the twool tales and stringy silliness by following us on twitter, facebook or instagram. You can find us at thisistwool – we’re a social bunch, so get involved!
Well, sort of! We’re back from Blenheim and waving the flag for British Wool at Countryfile LIVE! People do expect twool to have a little snooze on the back of a big show. Pft, no chance! It’s all hands on deck, pardon the pun, with some rather special new twine, just in time for it’s …
Phew! Happy and back home on Dartmoor after another fantastic RHS Chelsea Flower Show, it gets better and better every year! We didn’t have sponsorship for the show this year, which is always hard on a small cottage industry like ours – however, the brilliant Brintons supplied our carpet for the stand and BJ Richards Flowers …
September arrived! And boy, didn’t it make it’s mark. The best thing about September? Widecombe Fair! It’s a great country show on the second Tuesday of September, nestled in the moorland village of Widecombe. It’s been going for over 150 years now, and still very much a fixture of the local farming events calendar. We …
Back in September we were at the NFAS Floral Art Show sponsored by Country Baskets at the very beautiful Bishop’s Palace in Wells. We had a lovely time, in spite of the sporadic showers, and met some amazing people. Huge thanks to Jo and Jonathan for making us feel so welcome and we very much look forward …
