What a Wool Week!
Morning lovely twool champions, old and new!
Wow, what a wool week we’ve had! Our wool week kicked off with some great BBC Countryfile exposure, and we’d like to extend a huge thank you to all involved. It was so very important for us to tell the larger story behind our range of products: the Whiteface breed at the heart of it all. And Widecombe Fair seemed the most natural place to do that, we’re so grateful to Adam, Matt and Dan who came and stood in the (slightly soggy) field for the day. There was a wonderfully timed apocalyptic clap of thunder at one point but the sun shone in the end 🙂
We rounded up Wool Week with a further clip collection, this year we have taken 1300 kilos in total from small producers who might otherwise struggle to get their fleece to sale.
The lovely Kate dropping off her wool…first off the block Saturday morning.
Local farmers with very small flocks of Whiteface brought their fleece to us where it was added to Adam’s to join the woolly heap for string, rope and bag making!
