Life in Lockdown and Fresh Starts

With shows cancelled and garden centres closed, lockdown life hit twool HQ the way it hit you all – we hope that you and your loved ones stayed safe during this time. Lockdown is now easing and we feel we’re beginning to slowly wake up after a particularly odd winter snooze.

Like many of you, we’ve not been idle! We had the virtual Chelsea Flower Show – thanks to all of you who voted for us for Product of the Year.

In case you missed it, twool Naked is the new twool twine. It’s made from a blend of our Dartmoor wool and another natural coloured British wool. As it is undyed it has a lower carbon footprint, it’s still great twool: just even better for the planet!

twool Naked yarn has also been used to make twool Naked leads and collars: here we have Luna wearing hers and looking absolutely gorgeous!

With the forced rest, there’s been plenty to do in the garden. The sweet peas this year are a huge success. There was also one lockdown tomato escapee that self-seeded by the shed. It’s thriving where it is, just don’t tell the well-behaved greenhouse toms! ?

Kim has also been kept on her toes by some lovely new (& very cheeky) chickens! And the squirrels won the battle for the bird feeder…

Exciting times ahead for us as we’re working on our new website to be launched in the Autumn!

We have no idea what the new normal will look like going forward – our normal isn’t really normal anyway if we’re being honest! However, we hope to see you at some point in the new world once lockdown life has eased even further and in the meantime stay safe, we’ll be in touch again soon and if you miss us that much, please feel free to like us and follow us in all the usual places! xx
